VARSITY 

Karen Barrios

Karen Barrios started as a freshmen in mock trial as a JV witness. This is now her second year on varsity as a witness, and she is extremely excited. She was also a witness in the 2023 Tournament of Champions, in which her team placed second overall and first in her division. She is ready to enjoy her last year on Hillsdale’s mock trial team, and hopes to make it the best one yet.

Lila Abrams

Lila is a Senior on the Hillsdale Mock Trial Team as a varsity witness. This will be her third year on the team as a witness and she can’t wait for another great season!

Federico De Francesca

Federico started on JV as a witness in the 2020-21 year. The past two years, Federico has been on Varsity as a witness. He also was a witness in the 2023 Tournament of Champions competition. He is excited to return for his fourth and final year on the team!

Somya Singh

Somya started out as a JV sophomore trial attorney. She is now a senior trial attorney on Varsity defense. She competed in JV finals in 22’ and 23’ and won. She was a closing attorney in the international Tournament of Champions ‘23, where she competed in the final round, and her team placed second. This year, she is excited to defend her client Tobie Clark, and chew gum and kick some butt!​

Jalak Parekh

Jalak started as a sophomore in Mock Trial as a JV alternate attorney. She was varsity bailiff junior year and will be contributing to the Mock Trial team in the same capacity this year. Jalak looks forward to competing with her friends, mentoring the JV newcomers, and making her senior year on Mock Trial one to remember!

Olivia Murray

Olivia is a senior in her fourth year as a trial attorney and first year on varsity. She was also a second chair in the ‘21 Gladiator competition and competed as a witness in the ‘22 Tournament of Champions.

Jack Spillner

Jack is a trial attorney, and this will be his 4th and final year at Hillsdale. He is a 3x Gladiator, 3x Outstanding Attorney at TOC, and a Gladiator Olympics gold medalist. In his free time, he enjoys watching baseball and trying new foods.

Rachel Fekete

This is Rachel’s 5th year doing Mock Trial. She was exposed to Mock Trial in 8th grade when Hillsdale hosted a Mock Trial program at her middle school and has loved it ever since. She is currently a senior and cannot wait to compete this year as a varsity attorney.

Abby Bartfeld

Abby joined Mock Trial her sophomore year as a JV witness. She is now a senior and a varsity witness. She feels bittersweet about her last mock trial season but can’t wait to do it all one last time!

Nikki Donovan

Nikki joined Mock Trial her freshman year as a JV trial attorney. This will be her second year on Varsity, and her second year on prosecution (her favorite side). She is beyond excited for another amazing season!

Norah Williamson

Norah started as a Freshman as a JV witness and is now a Junior experiencing her first year on as a Varsity witness! She is very thrilled to compete this year looking and forward to getting closer with her teammates!

Emily Nakashima-Kim

Hi! I’m Emily Nakashima Kim. I joined sophomore year as a JV Pretrialer. This year I’m the varsity clerk. Excited for a new season!!

Annabella Lew

Annabella Lew is a junior on Mock Trial as a Varsity witness. This is her second year on Mock Trial and she can't wait for this year's season!

Melody Puls

My name is Melody Puls, I’m a sophomore varsity pretrial attorney. I was on the winning JV team last year and competed at the Princeton Moot Court where we won 4th out of 67 teams, as a freshmen.

Juju Streeter

Julia started as a freshmen in Mock Trial as a JV pre-trial attorney. This year she will be continuing as a pre-trial attorney and is now on Varsity

Peyton Higa

Peyton started as a JV witness in freshmen year, and competed in TOC in 2022. This is her first year on varsity and she’s super psyched for the 2023-24 season!

Jonah Immanuel

Jonah was a JV trial attorney as a freshman and is very excited to be on varsity for his second year! He was an attorney for the winning team of JV counties last year and the fourth place team in the Tournament of Champions. He hopes to bring the Immanuel Dynasty to even greater heights this year.

Navya Sinha

Navya started as a freshman in Mock Trial as a JV witness. This will be her second year on the team, and she will compete as a Varsity witness. She is so excited for another year with this incredible team!

JUNIOR VARSITY

Olivia DeVicente

Olivia started as a freshman in Mock Trial as a JV witness, she participates as a witness in the 2023 Tournament of Champions, and this will be her 2nd year as a JV witness.

Riley Hanson

Riley is a sophomore and a JV trial attorney. This is his second year on the mock trial team and he’s very excited for this year’s season!

Sky Boshek

Sky started Mock Trial in Freshman year as a JV witness. She went on to be a JV clerk and participated in TOC 2023. She is now a JV witness, and is very excited for new year!

Mira Shek

Mira is a sophomore in her second year as a JV witness.

Brianna Hafiz

Brianna started as a freshman in Mock Trial as a JV Trial Attorney and this is her second year as a trial attorney!

Timothy Villaneuva 

Timothy Villanueva started as a freshmen in mock trial in JV. This will be his second year in JV as a witness. He played casino owner Terry Benedict in the 2023 Tournament of Champions.

Jason Musselman

Jason started mock trial as a freshman in 22-23, and this is his 2nd year doing it. He is a JV witness, and enjoys playing a goofy character that’s fun to direct but hard to cross. He was inspired to join mock trial by his older sister Maya, who did mock trial all 4 years as an amazing attorney.

M Thompson

This will be M’s second year as a JV witness. They also competed in New Jersey last spring for Princeton Moot Court. They’re very excited to compete in Mock Trial again this year!

Andrea Chivi

My name is Andrea and I’m a sophomore at Hillsdale and just joined mock trial this year! I’m an attorney on JV and am excited for this year!

Alexa Chapman

My name is Alexa Chapman and I am a junior. I do cheerleading for Hillsdale, and I work at a law firm in Burlingame. I want to be a criminal defense attorney when I am older. This is my first year on mock trial and I am trial attorney.

Stella Shih

Stella is a sophomore who joined Mock Trial this year, as a JV trial attorney. She's excited to work with everyone!

Sierra Hartwig

Sierra is a sophomore JV trial attorney. This will be her first year on Hillsdale's mock trial team, and she is excited to get to know everyone!

Kalea Kim

Kalea is a freshman and this is her first year as a JV trial attorney.

Grace McCollum

Grace McCollum is thrilled to be the closing JV attorney at her first year at Hillsdale! She did one year of mock trial club at Abbott, and thoroughly enjoyed it. She can’t wait to see what her first season brings!

Lisa Furhman

Lisa has just started this year as a sophomore and is so excited to be a witness! This is her first year, but she hopes for many more years of mock trial with this team.

Brooke Weaver

Brooke started as a sophomore in Mock Trial as a JV pretrial attorney. Although this is Ms. Weaver’s first year, she looks forward to more years in Mock Trial.

Isaiah Yeager

Isaiah Yeager is a first year JV pre trial attorney as a Sophomore.

Megan Wong

Megan is a sophomore competing as a JV witness in her first year on mock trial. She additionally is part of the Water Polo and Swim teams at Hillsdale.

Andrew Altorfer

Andrew is a freshman starting his first year with Hillsdale’s mock trial team. He can’t wait to get started as a witness!

Ryan Hecht

Ryan Hecht is a JV witness. Ryan started Mock Trial through the Abbott Middle School program, and during the summer camp before his freshman year.

Alyssa Meneses

Alyssa started in the Mock Trial team as a Pretrial Attorney. She was first introduced to Mock Trial at her middle school during a Hillsdale High School student led club! With a passion for her work she successfully passed the Tryout rounds and joined the Mock Trial team in the year of 2023 as a freshman

Piper Fabry

Piper started as a freshman in Mock Trial as the JV clerk. She has participated in multiple HHS Mock Trial programs in the past. She’s excited to be part of the courtroom experience!

Ocean Cheng

Ocean started participating in mock trial during 8th grade. She will be the JV bailiff as a freshman in the '23-'24 season.
