Hillsdale celebrated a successful 2019 season at Law Day at the Elks Club in San Mateo. Congratulations to the Hillsdale JV team who received its trophy for winning its first San Mateo County Championship.

Congratulations also to Sadie Eisner who received a special honor for her witness work as Officer Keegan Lopez.

Hillsdale JV had an opportunity to travel to Santa Barbara to practice against some top competition last weekend in Santa Barbara.  We faced off against some good young talent from San Marcos and Lynbrook.  Using People v. Klein, witnesses drew their roles out of a hat before the competition and both sides were allowed one surprise witness.  Attorneys had to create their crosses on their feet without any preparation.  We had a lot of fun and came back better mock trialers.

Hillsdale will be sending its first ever competitor, Allison Rulli,  to Gladiator on July 12.  She will be competing against the best in world. We have a great team that will be helping her get ready.  If you're interested in scrimmaging , let us know (mspringman@smuhsd.org). Good luck Allison!

On October 27, the Hillsdale Varsity traveled to Sacramento for its first scrimmages of the year where they  competed against some of the top teams in the state (Shasta, Moreau Catholic, and Sacramento Country Day).  The next week the JV team traveled to Moreau Catholic to compete against their JV team.  Though we know we have a lot of work to do, we also have a lot to build on.  Most importantly, we had fun.
